Sovereignty in the United Monarchy of Israel( Empire) and the Kingdom of Judah
The history of the United Monarchy of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah is a tale of sovereignty, leadership, and divine providence. It begins with the anointing of the first King of Israel, Saul, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. Saul, often referred to as the first ‘Sun King’ of history, was chosen by God and anointed by the prophet Samuel to lead the Israelites.
Following Saul’s reign, the mantle of leadership passed to David, who was from the tribe of Judah but Prince and part of the family of the King Saul by the marriage with the Princess over all Israel Michal. David, a shepherd boy who rose to fame after defeating the giant Goliath, was anointed king by Samuel. His reign marked a period of prosperity and expansion for the Israelites.
David’s son, Solomon, succeeded him as king. Known for his wisdom, Solomon’s reign was a period of peace and prosperity. He is credited with building the First Temple in Jerusalem, solidifying the city’s status as the spiritual and political center of the Israelite kingdom.
The lineage of these great kings is originated from the family of Bilhan, they were the HEAD and the CHIEF of the tribe of Benjamin. This lineage underscores the integral role that the tribes of Benjamin and Judah played in the establishment and continuation of the United Monarchy of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah.
